The Village of Glen Ellyn aimed to modernize their aging clubhouse facility and expand the restaurant area to include a new bar. The project involved the renovation and 15,000-SF expansion of the existing clubhouse, which included a new kitchen, banquet facility, multiple bars, a revamped restaurant area, and an outdoor seating space. Additionally, the design called for golf course and driving range renovations, as well as the reconstruction of the parking lot—all while the facility remained open to the public.

Renovating the older building during the winter months while keeping the pro shop and locker rooms operational presented unique logistical challenges. The Doyle team had to ensure public access through the construction zone, carefully managing safe pathways for both workers and guests. Despite these complexities, the project was completed successfully, delivering a modernized facility with a new bar and banquet room, significantly enhancing the village’s clubhouse experience.
