The Lincoln Street development was a speculative real estate venture, consisting of a three-story, 15,000 SF multiuse building, that was designed to accommodate mixed-use needs. This project included restaurant space, commercial office areas, a parking deck, and two residential condominiums, making it a versatile addition to the community.
A significant challenge of this project was the zero lot-line construction, requiring an 18-foot-deep temporary earth retention wall along three sides of the building during excavation and foundation work. To manage this, the Doyle team coordinated with the Village of Hinsdale to arrange road closures, allowing cranes to safely set steel, precast concrete, and other equipment. Despite the tight urban setting, we minimized disruption to the surrounding area by maintaining open communication with Village representatives and managing logistics efficiently. This approach ensured the timely completion of the project while meeting the functional needs of the growing community.
